I just wanted to mention that there is an issue with sky rendering on cards that don't support shader model 2 or better. On shader model 2 cards (Radeon 9800+, GeForceFX+) the sky renders correctly. This will be fixed.

As you can see in the later shots, the sky problem has been fixed.

Yep, I've tested it on both shader2-capable and legacy videocards - seems like everything is working fine.

Thanks, Lucius. I've updated the file and put a link to a new website.
Didn't have a time to try it though.

DarkXL Build 9.08 has just been released. And the Codeplex site has also been updated to this release. It's a big step forward, you can finally play through the game.

The only thing left is to change the description since you can play through all the levels now instead of just the first 3.

Just a quick problem: When I launch DarkXL.exe, it stays up for a split second, and you can see some sort of message. Like "*DarkXL_launcher is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

Showed a great deal of promise, but since it was expanded to take in Daggerfall, Blood, and Outlaws, has become static. Something about 'bite' and 'chew'.
