High Resolution Pack (HRP) is great pack containing EDuke32 with some fan-made High-Res textures and 3D models. All in total, this gives unbelievable look to an old good Duke3D, while preserving a classical gameplay. This pack is a must-have for all fans, look at the screenshots at the left to see what I'm talking about.

Installation instructions:
There are not so much differences with EDuke32 installation, but I've provided a quick list just for the case.
- This port has a pretty standard installation interface, so there is no need in thorough instructions. The only thing to mention is: don't forget to choose a Atomic map hacks if you are using Duke3D Atomic edition like me.
Install port's files into your Duke3D game directory. - Don't start the game after installation and Ensure to start EDuke32 configuration from "Start->Programs->Duke Nukem 3D->Setup".
- Open 'Music, Sound and Video' section. Adjust 'voices', 'sample size', 'sample rate' and 'video resolution' to the maximum values supported by your hardware. I really doubt that this can seriously affect a perfomance on modern computers.
- Configure mouse and keyboard assignments in 'Input devices' window.
- Save configuration and run EDuke32.
- Startup screen will appear, asking if you would like to enable a texture cache. Looks like it's better to turn them on as recommended.
- Click 'Start' to start playing.
- You can also adjust the in-game video settings to improve a texture filtration quality. By default, the HRP didn't have any filtration turned-on for me, so I strongly recommend you to visit this page in settings and adjust things to maximum (like on screenshots).
- Check that everything is ok in 'More Settings'

This might be a dumb question...but there's no setup file in this package that I downloaded. How do I install this?

The newer HRP releases don't have a proper installer (basically because I am to stupid to make one :P). Instead, it's just a self-extracting archive. Click it and extract all files into a dir of your choice, e.g. E:\Duke3D. It will have the shareware version of the game, so you need to replace the included duke3d.grp with the one from your CD or digital download. Alternatively, EDuke32 can find the Megaton groupfiles in case you have Megaton Edition installed (via Steam). Create a shortcut to eduke32.exe on your desktop and you are done. Instructions are also on the HRP website (http://hrp.duke4.net/faq.php). Hope this helps. A new release has just been issued btw, v5.3.
