About 'FPS Ports' website

This site is about graphical modifications made for old and famous "First Person Shooter" (FPS) games. These so-called "ports" are usually independent programs, giving a possibility to play the same good-known game with greatly updated graphics (accelerated 3D output, light effects, 3D models, high-res textures), while keeping an original gameplay intact. Re-texturing projects which do not require any additional software to run, are also welcomed here.

The main purpose of this site is presenting a hosting space for ports-related files (ie texture-packs, program files, related dlls and so on) to preserve rare software from being lost and providing a short and simple installation/configuration instructions. No illegal warez here.
I hope that the information from this website will be useful for anybody.
